Hi Walter,
Thanx, re. the welcome. I agree the $20K fine is nothing, after all the money he probably stole from naive 'investors'. The disclaimer is usually ignored by those sucked in, I would say. It is encouraging that he was still convicted. Crimes accompanied by apologies shouldn't be exempt of the law, heh?! :> The jail time is at least a start, although it'll be in a minimum security prison with full access to grease-rights! - - - Walter, just wanted to congratulate you for your earlier (pre-May4) pursuit of the biggest (and possibly lowest IQ'd) con on this thread, GOLDMAN (S.W.?). You (as did I) saw through his/her ferocious hype, and stood up to him/her, for the sake of others who may have lent him any credit. All I can figure is that if s/he wasn't a shorter, or just an idiot, he could have been an adolescent-- that would certainly explain a lot of his behavior on this thread. Poor WOODY got played by him too, at the end, even got conned into doing Goldman's dirty work for him/her (emailing around lies about Freeport). >One can't have too questioning of a mind when reading internet prose.
Anyway, I only stop in on this thread occasionally, so, see ya in the funny papers! Keep on with your intelligent posts. :->

PS - My posting of the internet fraud article was in no way directed to marcos, whose posts are always scholarly and objective. It was for all to read. I should have clarified that when I posted it last night. |
