How long would the new Iraqi government have lasted without US troops being there and if you bothered to read the article YOU posted you would have seen that Iraqi leaders in no way want US troops to leave immediately. There will be a planned withdrawal as planned by US administration and Iraqi government officials. IMO democrat fanatics see success in the future for this administration and will do anything to sabotage any success for political gain.....even at the cost of American soldiers lives and moral....sick people. You said...."Are the locals cooperating with the terrorists?"..... Don't know why you would ask me this question when you are very likely in a position to know the answer better than I. But IMO, yes some of the locals are co-operating with islam terrorists. Ya ever hear of the sunni's....gees, it's an Islam country what would you expect?
