There are very few regimes who've tried to assassinate a former US President as Saddam did. Saddam has a long history of making dangerous and foolish decisions. Given his history, in particular, his willingness to assassinate a for US leader, it would be irresponsible to ignore warnings he planned terror attacks on us.

Coordinated police action with coordinated intelligence and worldwide cooperation is the answer.

Handling terror as a police action only is what led to the continually escalating series of attacks that led to 911.

Since the chimp doesn't DO diplomacy, it's one that isn't AVAILABLE to him.

The Bush administration has employed diplomacy as effectively as the previous administration did. Notably, it produced the Proliferation Security Initiative which played an important role in uncovering the extent of Libya's WMD efforts.

Pretty ironic that a fellow who can't post on SI w/o name-calling is talking about diplomacy.

Even the IRAQIS are calling for a US withdrawal timetable!

A timetable is no problem if it is reasonable but the cut and run approach you favor would be a horrible mistake.
