Ted, Seriously........you imagined God to be a human being? ... I am curious as to your answer.

It's like impressionist paintings in an art museum. The artist is trying to convey the essence, such as the model's facial expressions, or the scenery's emotion, or the story behind it all. The artwork of course is nothing more than canvas and paint, but with the artist's vision and skill, the painting reflects life.

Same thing with humans being made in the image of God. We might be nothing more than carbon-based biological machinery, but the creator has shaped us and made us into something that reflects his own being. Doesn't mean God is necessarily a human being. It just means that we've been infused with an essence, a spirit that is reflective of God.
