Wyatt Earp checked his guns in Juneau on his way to Nome, and they still have one up on the wall at the Red Dog Saloon. That is a place to my liking. In winter, you can eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. In summer, there are too many tourists.

I know those old west Marshalls made the drovers check their guns sometimes. They got away with it because nobody at the time objected their violating the second amendment.
