"I posted a few days ago what we did for the soldiers (just one of the several) but on Saturday...What did you do?"

Our personal lives off SI are off limits, as far as I am concerned- in the context of these political discussions which are antagonistic. There is absolutely no point in sharing with people whose sole aim is to score points in a political debate. If I say I've done something, I think I look smarmy and craven for using a good thing I've done to "score" points; if I haven't done anything you use that agaist me. Either way it's a loser issue, for me, and for anyone. IMO, of course.

The point I was trying to make is that no one here (that I know of) does not "care" about the deaths of people under Saddam. I thought you might understand my point, since you wanted to put American deaths in "perspective". Putting them in perspective does not mean you don't care(imo), just as putting deaths from bee stings in perspective, does not mean you do not care about bee sting victims. The two issues are not related (you were, if you recall, responding to a post about the numbers of victims under Saddam- and I was merely doing what you did about American deaths- putting the deaths in perspective- perspective doesn't mean you don't care, and it doesn't mean I don't care. I thought it was pretty clear- just goes to show one person's clarity is another person's squirrel).
