I have had the same problems with Scottrade you did. I cant get thier Elite trader to work and the stock fills stink. I am moving my account a little at a time to Interactive Brokers. Thier system is fabulous, the trades are dirt cheap and it has so much on the trading system you could never learn it all including options. Good luck
