i wonder how it compares (staffing) with rest of states.

i remember reading something a few years back that is ca. they had a nurse for every three beds. whereas the other states had a nurse for every six beds or something like that. guess the hope to reduce medical costs in ca. failed.

with shortages , i doubt you ever see a nurse in most hospitals. i remember when my son donated a kidney to his brother in law. he called for meds.. nurse told him after the tv show he was watching he would be down.

another time he was scheduled for a pain drug.. never got it until nurse came in . she said oh, i found your medication in my pocket when i was looking for my cigs going to the car in the parking lot. at least she came back and gave him a shot.

then he got discharged early because they didn't have enough staff on and fear of law suit. so i came in and got him.. no one saw him out , they waved goodbye, no wheel chair to car.

last thing you want to do is end up in a hospital. it may be certain death.
