Re: plasma HDTV

Take a careful look at DLP vs. plasma. Other than that consideration, The Dell unit has as good reputation as any except, perhaps, Pioneer's.

The new 1920x1080 1080P DLPs are now available which lets them product good pictures in sizes up to 73" but I don't think it's necessary in a 42" set.

If you have a CostCo nearby, you might want to look at some TV's there. CostCo might not be the first place you'd think of for a Big Screen, but their customer service and return policies are qualitatively better than pretty much anyone else's.

You can buy that Dell Plasma through CostCo - it would be very interesting to know who's customer service would "control" in such a case.
