What is the difference between "intentionally mislead," cherry pick intelligence, and "lie?" The clear sense of the charges is that in a court he would be convicted of giving false testimony about the reasons for going to war, and consequently should be impeached. The charges by members of the opposition in Congress are not such that an apology would make everything good, seems to me. Admitting the charges would certainly mean the end of the presidency, as it should if they are proved true. If he deliberately misled us into war, misleading us about what he knew to be true about the intelligence offered him, he should resign or be impeached, simple as that. I don't believe it is true, but I do believe the charge is quite plain, regardless of how it is put.
