Clinton, yes I know it came from the Intel thread. I said some posters opined that there may be a pre-announcement. Maybe is a guess

Note the revision of the retail number to 0.9 in July. The dow was initially up about 50 points, then there was a discussion about the revision and it went down. But like I said, sanity returned and the market went up again.
