Online advertising sales and placement, search, software integration...these are IT business services. Email and storage are IT services. All of these services are planned and engineered by Google...and so is software it gives away. That's high tech. Google is much like RCA in radio and in early TV. RCA was a huge high-tech (Radio & TV recording/transmitting/receiving equipment), and NBC networks were RCA's property. NBC sold advertising, and RCA was a tech company.
