Look, I'll explain it in real simple terms. McCain is looking to ban torture. Cheney wants an exception. Therefore, he wants the option to use torture. Get it?

If he would just be a man and come out and say, you know, we need torture as a tool in some very small percentage cases, then maybe people would at least see his position. But, he has to take the ultimate in flipfloppy positions: claiming to not be in favor of torture, but wanting an exception from a proposed torture ban.

And you guys fall for it hook, line, and sinker. Therefore, I'm afraid that the 'stupid or dishonest' label is strictly in your court.
