You are hilarious.
You're not kidding, the year GWB got elected came charges from the left that Bush stole an election, when the only fact we do know concerning that election is that Al Gore from the beginning asked for a form of counting votes which was inherently unfair. We know this from common sense, and because the Supreme Court in a 7-2 vote, said so. In fact, the charges against Bush were as ugly and still unfounded as they get. But you are confident you know who started it.
By the by, interestingly enough, you are not from the same "county," in all likelihood.
Experienced based bias tells you that righties are not nice people. Swell. I find many who aren't indeed. Trouble is, I truly find many lefties who aren't indeed. In fact, my experience tells me that lefties will quickly get rude and hepped up and will call names loudly as the first strikes of ugly discourse - getting angry even - if I simply calmly state what I believe (i.e. I call no names, belittle no one, just state why I believe what I believe). It's so easy to make a leftie angry while maintaining the high ground, it is ridiculous, IMHO.
What does "complaining about ID" mean?
Re: "She's a Karl Rove in waiting........you all are."
Assuming the worst of your thoughts on Karl Rove are true, the "you all are," phrase signals the depths to which your bias goes, and removes any question as to the existence of that bias. "All" is a lot of folks.
Re: "Look........you need to get clear.....this is war"
With that attitude (something which I think I've seen the ugly results of before), you TRULY will have a hard time getting any traction with the notion that someone else started it, LOL.
Re: "The very future of this country is at stake."
Well, yes it is, and reasonable voices can sway the battle.
For instance, 'twas Gore voices initiating angry charges over election results.
Re: "If you think I going to get all nice and reasonable now, because the worm is turning....you're wrong."
If there is an acorn needing to be heard on the left - and I believe there is - your attitude won't help the country, but will do your cause a disservice. This is true for voices from the right who behave much as you do...i.e. badly, which includes myself often (particularly on SI), no doubt. In the reality of the political realm, this is the way it is, IMHO, and it is so well understood and accepted that much hooey from either side is easily forgiven by many (usually by ones own side)...but the disservice it does to good causes will remain.
Re: "Like I said, we've taken a page from your book."
Yes, I know, you believe "we" started it. I know many from your side who will agree, and even forgive you and laugh with you, over many of your ugliest mal-feasances. But the righties and the middle of the roaders, will always see through this to the truth. Yes, you may substitute "lefties" in the prior sentence as would be appropriate to reverse the argument.
But you aren't going to convince many, nor advance your cause in the long term, by taking that ugly page you rue to heart for your own use, even if your assessment of the chicken and egg question were correct.
