While former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is shown by polls to be the most popular possible Republican presidential candidate with the party's voters nationally, he is viewed as a disaster in the 2008 election by prominent African-American Republicans

I've given this a lot of thought, and of the prospects I see for the Republicans for Presidential nomination I keep coming back to Rudy. I realize he is not as conservative as say myself, but to me at least he is acceptable, and to the moderates and liberals he probably is VERY acceptable. If we could team Rudy up with a solid conservative VP with great credentials I think it could be a winner. jdn
