And ... the move up in '03 was not an impulse with trend. It breaks trendlines, and is full of short jerky moves. That is an impulse within a correction. In fact I think it is series of 2 abc's, connected by 'X' waves, all the way up.


To me, the move from March to October 2003 is plenty impulsive. The index more than doubled during that move, from 113 to 258, and wave 1 equals 5, and 3=1.62 of 1 (or 5). And it is channeling quite well.
