I think it was you who brought up the title companies a while back.

Since I have time on my hands, I took a look at FAF, FNF and LFG. It appears they all had a pretty good third quarter and estimates for the current quarter may be a little ambitious.

Bottomline, they benefitted from an increased number of transactions as well as increase in the transaction price. These links that we visit regular actually provides us with some great data for new and existing home sales.

The only data we need to complete the picture is the C/I transactions.

In either case, 3Q 05 is probably the peak of this cycle. It may be a tough act to follow.

Anyone interested should read the earnings releases. They are all pretty simple stuff because it is a pretty simple business.
