Amy,

re: Shares in Asian chip makers such as Samsung Electronics (005930.KS: Quote, Profile, Research) and Toshiba Corp. (6502.T: Quote, Profile, Research) skidded on Tuesday after two U.S. rivals set a deal to produce chips used in digital cameras.

I've been on vacation all week... no Internet, no voice mail, no news <GREAT!>... so I didn't see it. But I now see that SanDisk investors saw it.

You are right, it should be interesting. In a couple of years, you have to figure NAND will replace hard drives in notebooks... maybe PC's in a couple of more years. All storage? Probably sometime, solid state always beats moving parts... it's just a matter of time.

Huge and growing market, but there is the commodity thing.

John
