Well, ok. Hizbollah, which does have strong Iranian ties, hasn't done anything against American interests in a long time. And then only because we, with others, were on that peace keeping mission to Lebanon.

Good point, it is too far out to predict. But Iran has specific goals in mind, they aren't just doing things randomly. They have a fine appreciation as to where their interests lie, and giving the US ammunition to step on them isn't one of them. Because of our adventure in Iraq, they have a once in a lifetime opportunity and they know it.
