I have spoken with an NYT reporter who wasn't interested at all in what happened. Instead he wanted to, in his words "make a splash". So he got nowhere with me. A friend of mine who is a very active Democrat (BTW) called me and related the exact same experience with the same reorter over the same issue. NYT is not what it used to be. Not even a resemblance.
