It was a Sunday talk show which broke this story as late as 3 months ago. The topic was the impending indictment of Karl Rove and the talk show participants spoke about how Karl Rove did the sleazy things he did. One of the things they mentioned was this smear campaign who has a adopted Sri Lankan daughter and a McCain family photograph with this daughter.

And the big difference: Bush Sr. fired him because of the sleaze tactics and Jr, hired him and felicitated him for his re-election.
