You can spread that quote all day long, and only a very uncomprehending person would take it as you've put it. Truly. Asking for a recount is fine, asking for an unfair and therefore unconstitutional recount, is not. The latter is what I noticed Gore asking for, and so became one very appropriate issue which the Supreme Court ruled upon.

The problem is not in my reading comprehension. The problem is in your presentation. Where does it say a recount is in violation of the Consitution? Wait. Let me refine it......where does it say Gore's specific request for a recount is in violation?
