Exactly the reason for ineptitude of the IT dept, and removal of the high school grad IT manager after long and difficult 6 years. A mainframe bought about 7 years ago, is finally being implemented or incorporated today, into the system. Outdated equipment? Many other problems that caused inefficiencies. The HS graduate hid under the IT security blanket for many yuears, and used it well as the excuse for the sluggish ineptitude - that everything must be double and triple checked, even Microsoft updates get implemented 6 months late. His job was abolished because company decided to outsource the function. Har, har, har!
