here is the data showing the treadmill effect. This is REAL data...
you won't believe this. This is what a 'saturated market' looks like:

Iomega revenues in the USA:

Q1 1996: 159 million
Q2 1996: 228 million
Q3 1996: 259 million
Q4 1996: 270 million
Q1 1997: 226 million
Q2 1997: 247 million

hmm.... looks like some flattening going on... Iomega's revenue
gains recently have been coming from the far east, a market that
hasn't saturated yet.. also, notice the flat revenues EVEN THOUGH
Zip unit sales have been looking good. 2 million in Q2 1997, and the
revenues didn't even beat Q3 1996! (US).
