First off, it was during Clinton's time that two would be terrorists were arrested. One was in the Seattle area where he crossed over from Canada and another was in the LAX area where a bombing of the LAX airport was being planned. So yes indeed, terrorists were on the prowl in the US and they were being arrested.

Bush was in office for nine months before 9/11. That was sufficient time for any Administration coming in to have taken charge of running the country and hence 9/11 cannaot be blamed on the previous Administration. The previous Administration cannot be blamed for the lax borders and airport security. You talk about conspiracy theory. I wonder why Bush WH is so reluctant to release the security briefing (I believe it is called PDB) that Bush was given on September 6th 2001. What are they trying to hide. It reminds me of the Karl rove / CIA outing investigation. If there is nothing to it, then why are they claiming secrecy including the WH staffer who spoke with Bob Woodward but refuses to have his name disclosed.

This is a WH tangled with lies, deceit and crookery. You talk about Sandy Berger stealing from the archives. The documentation in the archives is open to the press. You think the press hasn't looked into what he was trying to steal and if it was news worthy they would have published it. BUt nobody di, he was not put behind bars and that is the end of matter. You suspect our legal system now. The same legal system where the Justice Deptt. appointed prosecutor is going after Karl Rove would not go after Sandy Berger? Isn't that a ridiculous assumption when it the Bush Justice deptt. we are talking about that goes after a Clinton official.
