That's easy, karen. What do you consider to be the significance of that information? Why should it be featured in the news right now?

Every day, both on TV, on cable, and in the newspapers, there is a daily total of the numbers of American Military who have been killed.

The info that unclewest is offering at least shows that there are MUCH larger numbers of the past war dead, for a comparison.

I have NOT seen those numbers mentioned by any media -- anywhere.

I certainly don't remember any drumbeat, or drone, on TV news, magazines, newspapers, etc of any of the daily, or weekly, or even monthly totals of Military killed in action numbers in VietNam, for instance.

Now, let us say, if the media wanted to put up daily, weekly, or monthly totals of the Military killed currently, then perhaps a comparison of the totals for the past wars by day, week, or month, would be in order. This way the viewer could have some comparison.

Other comparisons can be made, but that is up to the individual.

Currently, the media has made a spectacle of the war. Perhaps something like a tennis match in some ways.

Edit: I forgot....you don't watch TV or cable, and perhaps don't read the newspapers, except for the articles here. Am I right? If you did the above, you would see why it is important to get the "rest of the story" told.
