They were shocked that Powell was using the stuff they had told us was probably bunk. They were sharing that with the other G-8 nations as well, so no wonder all the other nations, except the Brits, who were with us from the Downing Street memo on, raised their eyebrows.

Hell, I'm shocked that a CIA "NOC" would send her former Ambassador husband on a "covert" fact finding mission to Niger.

And I'm shocked that people still don't realize that British intelligence has NEVER backed away from the information they claimed they had about Niger that Bush quoted in his SOTU address. (maybe it has something to do with the rumour that the original source was French, either intelligence, or a French corporate official running one of Niger's Uranium mines).
