Utter baloney you war profiteer. Just because you wish to make a buck on the misery of war doesn't make it JUST because it is not.
It's also unpopular with the Iraqis and with Americans and the rest of the world. You're on the losing end of gross incompetence, greed, stupidity and, now, massive lack of popularity.
Rumsfeld, yep Rumsfeld himself, is BORED - BORED - BORED with the quagmire of Iraq. He isn't interested in the ridiculously slow pace of training up Iraqis so I WILL BET that he's just going to make up crappola and say -- ding ding ding -- they're ready.
The Bushies want to leave but they just can't figure out how and not look like abject losers on the tail end of an illegal war.
The UN resolution of 1990 was to use all necessary means to uphold the resolution. Since Saddam DID NOT HAVE ANY WMDs and the Bushies KNEW he had no WMDs the entire invasion was absolutely, positively illegal being based upon a PACK OF LIES about a nonexistent threat. In fact DO YOU EVEN KNOW that Powell and Rice said that Saddam was contained before the war? Therefore, there was no need to go beyond the current MEANS to keep the resolution.
In order to fulfill the latest resolution, the Bushies would have had to let the inspectors keep going. They would have found out that Saddam had indeed complied, even if he didn't understand it himself, with some 95% of the weapons having been destroyed...in the mid 90s. The Bushies couldn't let the Ritters and the Wilsons of the world speak out. They couldn't let the truth be known because they couldn't have invaded Iraq for profit.
Give it up. No amount of yammering by contractors ripping off the US taxpayer will justify this war or make it into anything other than a chaotic miserable mess for profit.
No amount of covering up the truth will hide this very simple fact: everything that the Bushies claimed made Saddam an imminent threat to the US of A WAS A LIE. That, in a nutshell, is the absolute proof of the illegality of this war. When you have FACTS, there is no need TO LIE.
Who do you think you're kidding? The American Public and the Iraqi Public have spoken and they want you guys OUT. 1 battalion, 700 whole guys in a country of 25 million, are supposedly ready to fight independently. That's down from 3 whole battalions...DOWN FROM 3.
