Carbon Monoxide Exposure Sends Man to Hospital in Critical Condition
RSS Feeds From ABC 7 Monday November 28, 2005 8:42am

Washington D.C. (AP) - One man is in critical condition after he was pulled from a basement apartment with high levels of carbon monoxide.

D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Alan Etter says the 60-year-old man was found around 1 am in his home in the unit block of Girard Street, Northeast.

Investigators believe a faulty furnace is to blame. Another man was also taken to the hospital but was not considered serious.

Over the weekend, four other people were rescued from a home after being exposed to high carbon monoxide levels, also from a faulty boiler.
