The American people have a right to be optimistic about Iraq. We are beating the pants off the terrorists every day. The Iraqi's continue to join the security forces in droves even though they are taking horrendous casulties from suicide and road side bombers. Every election has been a success, the Constitution was a reasonable success, I am betting this next final election for the permanent government will be even a bigger success. By this time next year I bet we are down at least 50,000 troops and this will cease to be an issue even the lying democrats can put forth. I suspect 14 out of 18 provinces will be turned over completely to Iraqi troops and we can concentrate with Iraqi help on the remaining 4 provinces. jdn
