Yes, although there seems to be a bit of religion tossed in as well. Some shun XBox and go with Sony because Microsoft is the huge monopolist.

That's funny. What do they think SONY is........a mom and pop operation? <g>

Others shun Sony and go with Microsoft because Sony killed off almost all of the rest of the console market.

He thinks the console market is about to implode. I can't say he is wrong, the new consoles are fiendishly tough to program effectively, and that is only going to drive costs up. And that makes things even more precarious for the inevitable flops.

I have to tell you I am getting real sick of technological progress. I got this new cordless for my land line. Usually, when I get something new, I can figure out most of its capabilities without reading the little pamphlet they give you. Not this one.......I can hardly figure out how to turn it on. That coupled with my current computer class has me OD'd on technology.

I want to go back to a simpler time.........when there were only computers and cordless phones; when you had only 50 tv channels to choose from instead of 500; when knowing word, excel and powerpoint was enough; when it wasn't necessary to own a PDA and flat panel meant new siding for the house.
