$4 million in investor claims paid by Shasta Capital

Several investors in the former Shasta Capital Associates, a Medford hedge fund, and Tech Traders Inc., an associated commodities-trading firm, have received refunds totaling $4 million, according to Chicago attorney Stephen T. Bobo, appointed by Camden federal judge Robert B. Kugler as Shasta's receiver last year. Kugler approved the payments, which Bobo said were made last week. More than $18 million in additional investor claims have not been resolved or paid, and federal investigators are trying to locate more assets, Bobo said.
