While they don't admit it and would deny it, they are absolutely loving the terrorist threats which they use to make all of us cower before their new-found authority. People are too scared to say boo to anybody wearing a uniform or in authority for fear that the patriot act, terrorist act, general obeisance and compliance act and general anti-terrorist act will mean being frog-marched off to 'enemy combatant' land for non-persons and the disappeared. So much for our much-vaunted "freedom", which is complete hypocrisy these days. There is little freedom in NZ. We aren't even allowed to buy a double-happy [a little firecracker]. Imagine running around with a cap gun these days, which I used to do as a child. The armed offenders squad would be out in force, helicopters overhead. Everything is forbidden unless specifically permitted, in which case it is compulsory. Mqurice
