Hawkmoon, you are a war profiteer. If you're involved in a for-profit enterprise during a war you are a war profiteer.

Let me understand this correctly.. what your saying is that anyone who earns a wage for the services they render via labor is a "war profiteer".

I guess you believe that no soldiers or contractors should be compensated for their services?

I guess you don't work.. Because god forbid, you ever put yourself in a position to "profit" by working...

Now if you call me a "war laborer" or "war wage earner", then I guess you might have me there.. But profiting? I don't earn profits.. I receive compensation.

They only way I could possibly meet your definition would be if I were sitting on my @ss at work doing nothing but collecting a check. But that's hardly the case. In fact, I often am mentally exhausted when I return to my living quarters for a 6 hours of sleep.

You try working 105-110 hours per week and tell yourself you're "profiting"..

It's an interesting economic model you're developing here..

Please continue to entertain us with your underwhelming economic lucidity.

It's appalling. 1500 Iraqi recruits live in barracks without plumbing or running water but plenty of flies. They have a single uniform to wear and they are the 'future' of the Iraqi security forces and the 'future' of our withdrawal from Iraq.

That's not my fault.. Hell, there are instances where the Iraqi government is providing money to paymasters to pay soldiers who are no longer showing up for duty.. Their leadership has sent then packing, but pocket their paychecks for themselves. And it IS disgusting when that occurs.

But it's going to continue to happen regardless of who is providing the funds, until the Iraqi government develops the auditing processes to insure that money is properly spent and accounted for, with violators arrested and punished.

Bottom line, corrupt busines practices and fraud weren't invented the moment the US overthrew Saddam. It's existed in Iraq for hundreds of years.

Hell, it's existed throughout the world since mankind first started engaging in business contracts.

I love your naivete. Let me know when you want me to send the "clue train" your way..
