Whatever happened to: only the paranoid survive?

They'll take your business now, copy it, improve upon it and leave you in the dust. That's the way of the world. It always has been and it always will be...in our lifetimes anyway.

China's growing at 9% a year. At this rate, they will be the world's largest economy in 20 years if they can get the fossil fuels. That's a blink of an eye.

Britain used to have an empire as well as did Spain. Countries come and go when they get fat, happy and stupid.

Capitalism means trade. Even a 'communist' country can engage in the capitalist activity of trade. We can own a ton of things like, for example, land. If we don't do any trading of the resources or services from that land are we capitalists or just private land owners?

Again you're confusing democracy with capitalism. The Saudis are a theocratic dictatorship....do you think they engage in capitalism?
