So what's the difference between being in Iraq and bombing painted targets from the air and being in Kuwait?

I'm pretty sure that in their own country, people would prefer to have their own food without uninvited visitors.

I would reduce YOUR paycheck to that of the average soldier because I'd put you in the US Military. Then I'd take the money spent on permanent or semipermanent US facilities and put it into a mixed Iraqi security force in the, probably vain, hope that it would create a better mix of risk/reward than it currently is.

I would then make it criminal to war profiteer.

When did Hillary state that she hated the military? When did I? Here you go, making stuff up again which really hurts your credibility.

Humvees, as I understand it, don't have armor plating because they're military TRANSPORT not COMBAT VEHICLES. The previous administration did not send them into Iraqi combat. If this administration felt it was grossly unprepared then it should have become prepared or, better yet, have resigned.

Plus, as I understand it, the Humvees are not the only problem. Combat vehicles, made to run on their treads for a few miles a day are running around wearing themselves out. The twin bills: to equip the Iraqi army and to re-equip ourselves is going to be staggering.

According to, if I remember correctly, the Senate Armed Services Committee the troops on the ground, a few hundred miles from Kuwait, had designed plating for their vehicles and only needed the materials...from Kuwait. Something like a year after the request had come the materials hadn't been provided.
That was a pretty contentious hearing.

Nope. Mercenary: for the money. Soldier: because he's in the military.

Everyone commits acts of violence against civilians in Iraq. That's why so many civilians are dead.

Bush should have thought of troop strength before he invaded Iraq. That would be the responsibility of the Commander in Chief.

The US Military said he needed more troops. Bush said: go away, I don't care what you say. Who exactly hates the military?

I don't love or hate the military.

I hate this idiotic war based on a PACK OF LIES run by INCOMPETENTS for PROFIT.

Why do you love this war?
