The "expected to be demonstrated" phrase struck me, too.
"Demonstrated" doesn't mean ready to ship, for one thing. Also,
everything has to work out. There is the small hurdle of inventing the darn technology, for starters. Can't be too much like Presstek's, of course. Patents. Presstek is Number One in processless plates now. And as we know, they keep registering new patents. Why would any Presstek shareholder worry now that somebody else may, conceivably, catch up and pull ahead in several years (time- to- demonstration (if all goes well) plus time- to- ship)? And why is there the repeated implication from the shorts that Heidelberg's relationship with Presstek is over? I guess we haven't heard that in a few days, but for a while there it was a constantly recurring theme. (What's up with that?)

This announcement is non-news, unless you believed until now that noone was going to try to catch Presstek.

Paul, do you have any evidence that the Presstek/ Heidelberg relationship is at an end? Why have we heard this rumor so often here?
