I thought of you this morning. Last weekend we went to my brother's to continue helping him clear out closets, and we did the pantry. I found a two pound can of Irish oatmeal from Killarney. Lugged it home with me and today made some. It took forever. I ate two cups of it at 11:30 this morning and it's now 7:30 and I am STILL not hungry. My mother used to say, oatmeal sticks to your ribs, but I didn't think she meant it quite so literally. It was interesting, but not terribly good til I added cream, butter, and brown sugar. It says on the cannister I should use buttermilk. I must go look up your old posts on this topic!
