"I wonder what the dems are saying about that speech."

Are you referring to Senator Lieberman's Op Ed or President Bush's Speech?

After the President's speech democrats sent J Forbes Kerry (kept by the catsup widow) out to contradict himself. Kerry said that Democrats had not been calling for a pullout of troops. Basically Democrats are fumbling all over themselves to recover from having their duplicity exposed.

Lieberman wrote the Op Ed because he is trying to position himself again as the voice of reason in the Democrat party. He would probably like to be second fiddle again on the Presidential ticket. He runs for reelection again in 2006, so he does not have to forgo his seat to be Hillary's running mate.

With HIllary trying to pretend to be a hawk, and him acting statesmanlike it might be enough to fool the voters in 2008.
