Last things first. It was the rightwing who tried to stop Koppel from reading his roster of the dead.

I have no problem with Koppel or anyone doing a reading of the roster of 425 or so contractors killed in Iraq. In fact I believe it would be both interesting and somber. I think very few Americans realize just how many contractors are in Iraq.

I also think it would be a very good thing to do a roster reading of dead Iraqis along with their ages and their occupations.

$80-$100K plus a year tax free driving a truck for KBR. I'd say let the US military do it as they have in wars past. What's wrong with that? I don't think it's worth the risk/reward but I'm not in a position of being jobless in the US.
