Yeah... I just read his comments:

house.gov

No details.. Just a "hollow vision" that reaps of defeatism ("all that we can do").

To immediately redeploy U.S. troops consistent with the safety of U.S. forces.

And just WHERE would he have us redeploy?

To create a quick reaction force in the region.

Where would this be stationed, and under WHAT authorization would it be permitted to "react" to anything?

To create an over- the- horizon presence of Marines.

That already exists with floating pre-positioned depot ships. But again, under what authorization would they deploy to a trouble spot?

To diplomatically pursue security and stability in Iraq

Diplomacy has not worked because Al Qai'da doesn't believe in diplomacy. (or democracy for that matter). They don't want to negotiate. They want to conquer and occupy Iraq and turn it into a Caliphate from which to destablize and invade other countries in the region. And countries such as Syria, Iran, and Religious leaders in Saudi Arabia do not want to see stability in Iraq.

So it seems to me that this so-called "QRF" is going to be just as busy and deployed as we currently are.
