That's Sad ... but they sure Glossed over this part.

Khan said 84 diseased chickens had been secretly crammed into a few small cages in one of the kill rooms. Later those chickens were determined to have a fast-moving lethal and highly contagious disease. Within a week, all 84 birds were dead.
