There is a definite lack of check and balance between the liberal innovators and the conservative old guard. The conservative political machinery was brought down during the Nixon presidency as Americans became convinced that it lacked an ethical conscience. This was accomplished to a great extent by reactive rebellion against a corrupt establishment. The conservative establishment has done a great deal of reparative work since then. However, liberals have continued a singular tactic of reactive complaining about conservative establishments.

The conservatives have increased in domination of the political power structures every since the loss of favor brought on by the incredible flushing of left wing ethics at the end of the Clinton Administration. There is no need to blame Clinton. The left-wingers wanted to have an all for nothing gamble on which end of the egg to open … They chose the abortion end. So every left wing platform and principle was sacrificed over this issue.

There are some human issues that do not lend themselves to finite legal determination. Abortion, sexual orientation, marriage and lifestyle issues are among these. Forcing this type of issue into a decisive Supreme Court judgment makes for some short-term gains in social engineering agendas but for long-term disintegration of confidence as people realize that these things are never actually resolved in the legal sense. We have never even been able to agree on a definitive point at which humanness is established… for crying out loud.
