Ford Motor Co.'s November auto sales fell 15%, while Chrysler Group posted a 2.7% drop in sales, despite generous incentives and lower gasoline prices.

Sales of Ford cars fell 7.4% to 63,482 last month, while sales of its trucks slumped 18% to 138,229. The No. 2 U.S. auto maker sold a total of 201,711 vehicles for the month. Year-to-date, the Dearborn, Mich., company's sales totaled 2.9 million.

Another source:

Ford Motor Co. said sales of its Ford, Lincoln and Mercury brands were down 11 percent compared to last November. Car sales were up 1 percent thanks to the popularity of the company's new Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zephyr sedans. But sales of Ford trucks and sport utility vehicles were down nearly 16 percent, led by a sharp 52 percent decline in sales of the mid-size Ford Explorer SUV.
