JQP re Kurdish state

The Kurds will attempt to set up an independent state. Turkey and Iran will, overtly and covertly, attempt to interfere with the development of an independent Kurdistan. In the background the huge actual and potential oil reserves of Iraqi Kurdistan loom ever more desirable. If Iraqi Kurdistan becomes de facto independent the U.S. would try to mitigate any cross border problems with Iran and Turkey. We must have a freed up military strike force to get everybody's attention. The problem next year will be keeping Turkey and Iran from occupying chunks of Iraqi Kurdistan to crush Kurdish independence movements.
