I agree with that assessment, but thought the timetable might be stretched out quite a bit. It would surprise me to see the Kurds act in the near future, especially when they can sit back and watch the Sunni's and Shiites kill each other in a civil war first. Is there a reason they should be so rushed?

Since you seem to understand what is going on over there, I have a question about Afghanistan. It seems to me to have evolved into a live training grounds for US special forces. Every time I see any news from there special forces are involved. Do you agree with that assessment? The terrain sure makes it an excellent training ground.
