I would be happy for the left to capture the populations imagination- but you aren't going to do that with name calling. Michael wants to see programs, and plans. He wants to know what the left has to offer wrt Iraq. Frankly I'd like to know what the left has to offer wrt Iraq- and I'd like concrete details, and I'd like to see the rationale that supports the details.

I certainly don't like Lieberman, and I can tell you don't either. But to be a successful party we need to appeal to more than just ourselves- we need to have ideas that resonate with people like Michael- (who actually seems to be pretty open to new ideas, if they are good new ideas.) The country is in big trouble, and the American people want answers, but they aren't going to see more "attack politics" as being equivalent to answers.
