EMFP - New Production Facility

HENDERSON, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 2005--Emergency Filtration Products, Inc. (EFP) (OTCBB:EMFP - News) today announced that it has signed a three year lease on a 13,000 square foot facility in Nogales, Mexico, where it intends to establish additional production capabilities to meet increased demand for its NanoMask and NanoMask filters. The Nogales plant will be initially equipped with spray booths to enhance pre-cut filters with nanoparticles, six high speed automatic packaging machines and a filter media cutting machine. EFP expects the Nogales plant to commence production within 4 to 6 weeks.

Current plans for the Nogales facility, as in its Henderson, Nevada, plant, are to enhance the filters with nanoparticles and package the filters hermetically. The company sources pre-cut filters from its subcontracted manufacturers where filter media is cut to the company's specifications.

Increasing production capacity is a key component of the company's growth plans, as EFP will then be able to pursue converting serious indications of interest (in the NanoMask and NanoMask filters) from large national and international companies into purchase orders. The company's existing plant in Henderson, Nevada, does not have the production capacity itself to meet the potential demand that has been indicated by a large number of prospective customers.

"We are expanding our NanoMask filter production capacity as quickly as possible," said Douglas K. Beplate, President & CEO, EFP. "After meeting with a number of large national and international prospective customers, it became evident that the scale of orders that they are contemplating far outstripped the Henderson facility's production capacity. Accordingly, after reviewing a number of different production options, we decided to establish production in Mexico, which has an ample supply of skilled labor and easy transportation access to the United States and other international locations."

The company has recently become aware of certain misleading and inaccurate reports in the media regarding its NanoMask product. In response, the company is taking action to determine the sources of such incorrect information and to proceed as necessary to prevent its dissemination. Accurate and complete information on the NanoMask and EFP's other products is available on the company's website.
