Hello Jacq

I think the 97 annual report clarifies a few things. There is no doubt the company is moving cautiously while patents are pending - and they are indeed pending. The upper management is sorting through potential J/V partners in a manner which suggests they have no doubts about whether the drug is working. As one fellow put it: Do you think this little company snowed the entire Chinese government about DIAB? The real lag right now in China is due to the realization that capital outlays were too huge and the country too big for them to do proper advertising and distribution on their own. I look for the signing of a large international pharmaceutical co. for China distribution to happen by the end of the year. The other news that should come out soon which is quite significant - is that this little company will be self supporting by year end from the looks of things - partly due to the manufacture of products unrelated to the main baby. Carribean testing is going fine - with the minor glitch being maintaining compliance by test patients. The results are what Biotech expected - but the data completeness needs improvement from what I understand. The company is also beginning to meet with analysts and I have confirmend from an independant source that enough folks believe in BIO to lay down $$ if so needed. This company is not doing things the regular route we have seen in North American drug development. I am guessing this is partly because of money - and to a greater extent - the personality of the head man. It will all be interesting.
