I should have added that we have a famous American leftwist in Baghdad right now literally acting as Saddam's defender.

And on this very thread, I've had the argument advanced to me that maybe Saddam didn't know what was going on (in re to the sheltering of terrorists) in his own police state ....

It seems pretty clear to me the overriding opposition to Bush and his administration is so strong on the left that ... yes, they are willing to be defacto pro-Saddam.
